Bill Gates has finally bought himself a futuristic superyacht that is powered by liquid hydrogen. This means its only emission is water and costs Rs.4,600 crores. Bill Gates is a regular superyacht holidaymaker but he did not own a superyacht on his previous summer trips. The plan of buying the superyacht was revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show in December last year.
However, this is the first of its kind to be powered by liquid hydrogen.
The Daily Mail reported on Sunday that the luxury superyacht is 370ft-long and comprises five decks complete with space for 14 guests, 31 crew members. It also includes a beauty room, massage parlor, a gym, a yoga studio, and a cascading pool on its rear deck.
The superyacht is powered by Hydrogen fuel which works by creating electricity to power a battery and motor by mixing hydrogen and oxygen in specially treated plates, which are combined to form the fuel cell stack.
