Coronavirus scares in space! Here how the international space station has planned to protect itself from COVID – 19

With the coronavirus outbreak, NASA along with its international partners are mandating a two-week quarantine before its astronauts leave for space. It is really very essential for the spacefarers that they do not incubate the illness after they enter the organisation’s orbiting lab.

There has been a major change in the scenario. We have witnessed various countries coming together and joining hands to save people because ultimately we all believe that humanity comes above everything. Nobody could imagine that a virus known to have originated in the markets of Wuhang could shake the world to its deepest core.

NASA is seriously worried because it is sending its astronaut Chris Cassidy along with Russian cosmonauts Ivan Vagner and Anatoly Ivanishin in space on April 9, we got to know that according to the association, the quarantine procedure is termed as “health stabilization” and it is done because of the fact that living in microgravity has an ability to impact the immune system of astronauts.

Apart from this, it is also evident that NASA is adhering to all the recommendations that the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has made for controlling infection and combating the novel coronavirus. This process encompasses social distancing, cleaning surfaces, maintaining personal hygiene and limiting contact with the entire team if someone is falling sick.

There has been a lot going on lately. The world is in chaos and people are dying from this virus its high time now that we take serious care of ourselves because prevention is better than cure.
