Huawei had the wonderful year 2019 – The company launched two of the best smartphones in the market – the Huawei P30 Pro and the Mate30 Pro.
However, despite all the problems, the company managed to improve its delivery across the world, and in 2019, it sold 240 million smartphones, with the P30 Pro and the Mate 30 pro lineup improving their numbers by 50% on a yearly basis.
Xu Zhijun (Chairman) reveals the company is presuming a sales revenue of around CNY850 billion (over $123/€110 billion).
As forecasted, the financial results were unexpected, but Huawei managed to stand up to the stress test and is ready to take all the competition.
Xu Zhijun also revealed that the company is aiming to develop its own Mobile Services ecosystem in the competition to Google’s solution as they don’t need to depend on partners from other countries.
The reason Huawei performed low in the past year is exactly the lack of Google Services in new Huawei smartphones, which is highly unattractive to customers in rich markets like Europe.
The company also disclosed that it managed to sell over 2 million Watch GT2 units in just 3 months since they have introduced wearable, over one million FreeBuds 3 headphones in one month.
