This year three new iPhone 12 models are expected which will support 5G. There are rumours that the base variant of iPhone 12 will come with a 5.4-inch display which will make the base variant of the iPhone 12 more comfortable to use one-handed and also the leaked images of the phone adds more credibility to that rumour. It can also be seen that the notch is the same size as the iPhone 11.
To show off a slew of new products including iPhone 12, the company is planning on hosting two events, one in September and one in October.
According to the Weibo post by Digital Chat Station (translated), a known tipster, the iPhone 12 base variant is said to come with a 5.4-inch display as the tipster shared a photo of the panel comparing it with its hand for scale, stating that the screen size is 5.4 inch in size. While the notch is visible on the panel and seems to be the same size as that of the iPhone 11 series, the sensors that will be included in the notch are still unknown.
Fans will be disappointed who were expecting a smaller notch.
Since the iPhone X series in 2017, Apple has gone with a notch design with its smartphone and has also reduced its size subsequently but it is relatively still larger.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo first mentioned the 5.4-inch screen size in a report that stated there will be three models of the iPhone 12. Also recently the hints of a 5.4-inch display were also spotted in the latest iOS 14 beta version for the 5.8-inch iPhone models through the Display Zoom feature.
Also according to the recent report, it is expected that the new 5G iPhone models, the new Apple Watch, and a few other products will unveil at two events that the Cupertino giant has planned on 8 September and 27 October.
