At this year’s Global Ecosystem Product Launch event, on Wednesday Xiaomi finally unveiled the much anticipated Mi TV Stick which is somewhat similar to Amazon Fire TV Stick. The newly launched Mi stick is a portable streaming device that via an HDMI port it connects to the television. Mi TV Stick users can stream shows and movies from Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. with the device. The device comes with a built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast.
Price of Mi TV Stick
The price for the Mi TV Stick starts at EUR 39.99 globally which is roughly about Rs. 3,400 per 1080p variant. The availability details are yet to be discussed by the Chinese tech giant.
The launch details of the Mi Stick in India is yet to be clarified by Xiaomi as more information is expected in the coming days from the company.
Specification and Features
In terms of looks of the newly launched TV Stick, it looks very much similar to the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The Stick is available in black colour as the Amazon Fire TV Stick.
The TV Stick supports Dolly Audio and DTS sound format and the device is powered by a quad-core CPU which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The portable streaming stick supports full HD resolution video at 60fps and comes with pre-installed Amazon Prime and Netflix which can be directly accessed through the button dedicated to it in the stick remote.
For enabling voice command there is a dedicated Google Assistant button on the stick remote and has a built-in Chromecast feature with which the users can directly screen videos, photos and more from their Android smartphone to the TV.
