South Korean smartphone maker Samsung could launch its flagship Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5. Teasers and leaks over the past few weeks have given us a lot of information about what to expect from Samsung’s next major flagship.
As is the case every year, the Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to feature the latest and greatest hardware that Samsung has to offer. There could be two models – Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but some rumours suggest there could be a ‘Plus’ model as well.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 specs – what does Samsung have up its sleeve?
The Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to pack in the latest and greatest hardware that Samsung has in store.
Powering the Note 20 series will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset in certain markets, while other markets will get the Exynos 990 version. This will likely be paired with up to 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage – which should be abundant for almost every user out there.
Other features that the Note 20 series is rumoured to come with are in-display fingerprint sensor, water and dust resistance, and stereo speakers. The phones could be powered by up to 4,500mAh battery, and come with wireless charging support.
The standard Galaxy Note 20 is said to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, while the Ultra version could come with a bigger 6.9-inch Quad HD+ display.
Rumours suggest that both the Galaxy Note 20 models will have a punch hole notch in the center to house the front camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 S Pen – Several performance upgrades in store
One of the highlights of the Galaxy Note series is the S Pen. Reports suggest that Samsung could launch an upgraded S Pen with 9ms response time, which should improve its performance across the board.
Samsung could also add support for a range of new gestures which will make the S Pen even more useful.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 Ultra earlier this year with a whopping 108MP camera. The company could continue this with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra as well – reports suggest that this model could feature a 108MP camera along with two other cameras with support for up to 50x zoom.
The standard Galaxy Note 20 will likely sport a humbler setup with a 64MP main camera assisted by two other cameras. Both models are said to come with a 10MP selfie camera.
